Art school audition

Tough week this week as Mum and Dad have pushed for me to have a more "well rounded" education. Simply knowing how to create an overlap, the importance of a turn of speed and being able to step off both feet is not quite enough.

They sent me for an audition for the new arts school that will be in Singapore - http://sg.news.yahoo.com/061121/5/singapore242688.html. It was oversubscribed and is only for students who are going to be in secondary one, but my parents still sent me for the audition. I stuffed up in the interview I think, however the panel said that "my expressions and murmuring were very creative." Even if I dont make the first cut, there is still hope for me as there are further auditions in March and June 2007. And christmas is coming too!

Sitting Around

Melaka

We went to Melaka over the weekend. It was Mum's birthday too - whatever that means?

Melaka is a small city on the west coast of Malaysia - if you drive at 140km/h it takes less than two hours to get there from Singapore. People say that Melaka is backward but it is a peaceful place with the "old charm" thats made up of shop houses, the Jonker Street Night market and some really good places to eat and drink. The Geographer Bar is pretty good - they even let in underage people; The Bulldog Cafe is great too and it even sells NZ beef and lamb! There is a laksa place that serves a fantastic lunch for RM15 for two people!

We were slightly worried about going to Malaysia since Winston apparently got bitten by a spider while eating lunch. After our time in Melaka, I think its safe to say that Winston was talking shit.

Day at Sentosa

My first time ever at Sentosa - not bad. They have a luge ride there and as soon as I am 110cm tall, I am going to go on it. I also tasted sand for the first time - its not that nice.

Today was my first day using my new stroller - its great that instead of looking at Mum and Dad the whole time, I can look around everywhere - usually at girls.

My new pacifier

I dont normally use a pacifier. The ones we have tried in the past usually end up on the ground. the new one is slightly larger and heavier than the old - tastes ok too.

that damn singlet!!

McCafe - Parkway Central

Mum and Dad have a coffee (dont fret, Mum has decafe) after the wetmarket. While they are having that, I usually have a sh_t. Its quite funny as its always during coffee time and so they never get to sit peacefully and enjoy it.

One day, we even had to cut my clothes off. I read somewhere that coffee has a laxative effect on some people but this is ridiculous.

Since being on rice cereal for the last week or so, Mum and Dad make it a point to take me to McCafe every couple of days. Its working!!

Nutrition is really important

Training has been really hard lately and the doc said that drinking from Mum may not be enough to get me through the training program.

Rice cereal is pretty good so far - its so good. Aside from the taste its great fun blowing bubbles with it and generally making a mess.
