This is not Seddon Park....

Had my first viewing of live cricket today - game was at Kallang - the home of Singapore cricket. I tell you what, there is nothing better than the sound of leather on willow, the oooooohs as the ball sneaks past the outside edge of the bat or the piercing sound of a ferocious LBW appeal. None of which happened while I was at the cricket today - it was Singapore vs Hong Kong, two of the superpowers of the world game.

Remember the good ol' days where you would wake up early and pack the following items to spend a whole day at the cricket:
- bat and ball to play during the lunch break
- a chair
- a full chiller bag
- a fan and a wireless radio so you can listen to the commentary
- thermos of coffee incase it got cold and a mug to drink it with
- 50 cents so you could buy a popsicle at afternoon tea time
- the brown and tan - what legends are made of

And remember the uninitiated who give it the "who's winning?" after the first 10 overs.

Harrys @ Boat Quay

Hot weather, beer and an over supply of testosterone led to GGP and Avo' having some biffo - was fun to be in the middle of.

The water will change colour in a couple of years.

Deborahs Graduation

Congratulations Deborah on graduating. Was exciting stuff

tackling 101

It old you this was serious. Line him up with your shoulder, head out of the way, leg drive, clean him up. That has been my mantra for the last week as Mum and Dad put me to work on the tackle bag.

It is unfortunate that I cant sit up/walk at present but they both get me to do this. It is so much fun, although mum commented that it is practically illegal/dangerous/abusive to be doing these sorts of things. Dad ignores these sorts of comments.

After I finished my training schedule this week, I went to the pub for my first beer and Deborah's graduation. Pics to follow... including some biffo between Avo' and GGP. Watch this space.

Time to get serious....

My training program has ramped up a lot in the last couple of weeks. Its been out with the musical bouncy chair and more cones, hurdles, leg weights and wrestling.

I think its a knee jerk reaction to the All Blacks loss in South Africa or it could be that Dad thinks that there is only 21 years until the 2027 World Cup.

I note that he only does these things when Mum is out. He also made me sign some document regarding stating that he is not responsible for any injuries; that I wont contact any child rights organisations; or even cry to Mum. I think its all legitimate.

Went to see the Doc prior to the change of program and got the all clear - thats slightly different to what people say about my nappies.
